What issues can the art therapist help our pupils with?

Often pupils will be struggling with issues such as self-harm, extreme anxiety, sleeping issues, eating disorders, depression, family breakup, behavioural challenges or bereavement.

How many sessions do we need to book?

All art therapy sessions are usually 2-2.5 hours long.  This is to allow time for setting out and clearing away the art materials.  It is important that the pupil doesn't feel rushed to end a session and sometimes schools will request a 3 hour weekly session, dependant on the pupils needs, age and engagement.

Initially they are set up once a week, for a period of six weeks. At the end of the six week period, the school, art therapist and pupil will agree if a longer period would be beneficial.

Where does the art therapy take place?

Art Therapy takes place either online or in the comfort and privacy of the pupils own home.

It can be booked for a pupil in addition to our tuition or as a stand alone service.

How is it funded?

Funding tends to be sourced from the pupil premium or higher needs funding available to the child.  We then invoice your school accounts department on a monthly basis.

How much does it cost?

Our rate is  £55 per hour plus VAT, which is all inclusive of art materials for the term, large sketchbook for the pupil and travel to the pupils home.

How quickly can art therapy be set up?

We aim to have art therapy in place within
48 hours of booking.
